Easy Library Programs for Kids
Every tried to think of a fun yet simple program to do where you honestly don't have to do a thing for it? Well here are some programs just for you!
Adopt a Monster and Read! Kids love stuffed animals right? Well use that as an advantage, all you have to do is buy stuffed animals, monsters, or whatever is stuffed and put it in a box for kids to pick up to read with and once they are done the stuffed animal goes back in the box. This can go further than just stuffed animals, it can honestly be whatever you want to kids to read with. The possibilities are endless!
Monthly Learn To Draw! Some kids do not have parents that know how to draw, so why not bring them into the library? All you have to do is have instructions for kids to follow to learn how to draw something every month or even weekly. With this program, you can just print out a few different things to draw and set scrap paper next to it. If you want to make it more interesting, you can make it into a contest.
Bookmark Center! This might be the easiest program yet! Just put some scrap paper out for the kids and ask them to design their own bookmarks. Kids love bookmarks and they love to draw, so why not put them together? This is also another program where you can make it into a contest or even the kids can make bookmarks for the library to give out.
